THE CAUCASIAN WAR AND ITS INTERPRETATION IN OUR COUNTRY IS HISTORIOGRAPHY AND ITS PUBLIC COMPREHENSION: CIRCASSIA OUTLOOK

Abstract

The article describes the content of the main historiographical traditions. It analyses the problems of formation of the general historical interpretation based on interconceptual contradictions, characteristic of protectivemonarchical and liberal-democratic traditions. The weak points of the representation of «The Caucasian War» from the position of its historical participant Russia, on the one hand and the native people and societies of the North Caucasus on the other hand are pinpointed.
