Abstract

Study of the problems of formation at the modern stage of the national identity should consider changing boundaries of the Russian political community. The author (who is based on the methodology of discourse theory and empirical studies) examines the symbolic Russian elite of the Muslim community as a actor construction of Russian a national and State identity. Political discourse produced by it in the public space of the Crimea becomes a signifcant factor in the context of the Russian nation-building.
