THE APPLICATION OF SECURITY MEASURES IN THE CONTEXT CORRECTION OF CONVICTED PERSONS AND PREVENTION OF NEW CRIMES

Abstract

The necessity of legislative consolidation of security measures aimed at preventing the commission of new crimes as the goal of the penitentiary legislation, by analogy with the means of correction. It is proposed to include a number of security measures of criminal law and penitentiary institutions (compulsory medical measures, mandatory treatment, transfer to a safe place, and others.) That can be directed not only to the prevention of crime and the infringing conduct of convicts and other persons, but also on neutralization of other circumstances that threaten the normal functioning of correctional institutions.
