Abstract

The article substantiates the need to abandon elements of political rhetoric in scientific judgments about the Russian electoral system. From the standpoint of constitutional law interpretation relevant studies should be aimed at facilitating the optimization of the mechanism of provision of basic electoral rights and freedoms of citizens.
