Abstract

The paper analyzes the main trends in the electoral law and improving the electoral system of the Russian Federation in the 2000s. The author demonstrates the influence of the political situation, social and economic conditions on the dynamics of the electoral process. A number of decisions relating to the work of election commissions are suggested.
