Abstract

During 1918 1920 years in the Caucasus were formed an independent state formations which proclaimed secession from Russia, defended its territorial integrity, sovereignty and thus tended to converge with each other, nurturing projects to create a common state. The course of history shows that from the outset the idea of unification of the caucasian states interested the Azerbaijan Republic, Georgian Republic and Mountainous Republic. They are sealed with each other agreements on cooperation and mutual assistance. Of particular interest are the relationship of the Mountainous Republic with ADR. The main thing that united them: overall pick of the democratic course of development, foreign policy priorities (focus on the Ottoman Empire) and common interests in this situation (the fight against the bolsheviks, whites and others.).
