EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION AND THE GEOPOLITICAL INTERESTS OF RUSSIA

Abstract

A new international organization of regional economic integration the Eurasian Economic Union emerged on the integration map of the world on January 1, 2015. His appearance was negatively perceived by the external forces in the face of the United States, the European Union and China, seeking to play a leading role in the global integration processes. The article analyzes the EAEU external threats and also provided that this integration project is necessity for Russia as the most responsible of its geopolitical interests and able to maintain its superpower status.
