INSTITUTE OF CHUNKS IN THE CUSTOMARY LAW OF DAGESTAN OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY

Abstract

The article discusses the problems of formation of birth right of the peoples of Dagestan on the example of the Institute Chanko-Bolsheviks and chunks. Special attention is paid to the development of this institution in the Imamate of Shamil and the Dagestan region. As it is well known, and the Imamate and the Dagestan region Institute chunks and chunks Beks has undergone changes which significantly affected their position in the Dagestan society. To illustrate this process involved the source called "Indications chunks Gunibskogo district of their caste and feudal rights," which presents interesting information about the position and status of the chunks in Dagestan.
