Abstract

The article considers one of the important problems of the theory of state and law. This is a problem of the essence of the state. The authors seek to expand existing theoretical ideas about the state's purpose. For this, traditional criteria of socio-political interest are applied. To clarify the essence of the state, the criterion of socio-organizational stability and the criterion of the influence of various religious systems are used. This allows us to present the multidimensional essence of the modern state.
