Abstract

In the conditions of developing a market economy, works of folk art (folklore) are threatened with the loss of authentic content of traditional spiritual values, and, in this connection, they require the improvement of legal mechanisms for their protection against unfair use. On the basis of an analysis of the features of artistic and creative forms of the existence of folklore, the possibility of extending to its works the legal institutions of intellectual property is substantiated.
