Abstract

In the article considers the most effective ways to increase the effectiveness of the work of the UN treaty bodies in the universal system for the protection of human rights. An assessment is made of proposals developed within the framework of the United Nations to change the institutional component of the human rights system of this organization. The prospects of reforming the UN's universal human rights system are analyzed. The characteristics of the proposal for the adoption of a single document the Charter of Human Rights for the 21st century is given.
