IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF EQUALITY AND SELF-DETERMINATION OF PEOPLES AS A BASIS OF STATE CONSTRUCTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF ABKHAZIA AND ITS INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue of self-determination of the Abkhaz people and restoration of statehood, lost to it as a result of its inclusion in the Georgian SSR as autonomy. The article carries out a historical and legal analysis of the basis for the realization of the right of the Abkhaz people to self-determination and the restoration of the sovereign status of the republic. The author reveals the status of the Abkhaz statehood through the notion of sovereignty and historical reality.
