PROBLEM OF INTERACTION OF POLICY AND ART IN PLATON''S DIALOGUE "STATE"

Abstract

In article the concept of interaction of the state, the right and art of one of the largest philosophers of Antiquity Platon is analyzed. The esthetic sense of the political doctrine of the thinker is emphasized. In this regard the assumption according to which the estate of handicraftsmen is treated as the subordinated estate is disproved. Attention is paid to Platon's views of value of art for education of citizens. Also details of platonovsky offers in the field of the state censorship of works of art are considered.
