Abstract

The authors consider the legal and economic bases for the activities of state corporations in the territory of the Russian Federation, the reasons for the emergence and peculiarities of their functioning. The contradictions of their attribution to the public sector of the economy are noted, and the distinctive features of the organizational form “public corporation” from other organizational and legal forms of enterprises functioning on the basis of state ownership are defined. As a generalizing conclusion, it is indicated that it is necessary to take into account not Western concepts, but the ones developed by the Russian school of economic and legal thought.
