Abstract

Legal background of the local government legal status was considered in order to determine its essential nature. Federal laws were analysed in the part that determined legal status of the local government bodies and the way it is specified in the laws of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The results were summed up and some recommendations were made on possible ways to improve the Krasnoyarsk Territory legislation.
