POLITICAL AND LEGAL RESULTS OF THE 2020 CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM IN RUSSIA

Abstract

The article examines the political and legal aspects of the 2020 constitutional reform in Russia from the point of view of their impact on the further development of the entire system of political and constitutional legal relations in Russia. The author analyzes specific constitutional amendments both from the point of view of their technical implementation and in the context of assessing their political and legal substantive aspects, as well as their possible concretization in sectoral legislation. The article also pays special attention to the procedural aspects of constitutional reform, as well as issues related to the distribution of the "new" constitutional material in the relevant chapters. The article draws conclusions about the social conditioning, geopolitical predetermination and conservative orientation of the constitutional reform, however, some critical remarks are made regarding the ways to achieve the tasks set before the legislator.
